1. Booking & Deposits

All appointments must be secured with a deposit at the time of booking.

A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to confirm your appointment. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your treatment on the day.

Deposits can be paid by bank transfer or card payment. Your appointment is not confirmed until the deposit has been received. ScalpLiners reserves the right to release the appointment slot if a deposit is not received within 48 hours of booking.

Deposits are non-refundable in the circumstances described in the Cancellation Policy below.

2. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. However, late cancellations affect our ability to offer appointments to other clients.

48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, or do not attend without notice, your deposit will be forfeited.

If you provide more than 48 hours' notice, we will hold your deposit and apply it to a rescheduled appointment at a mutually convenient time.

In the event that ScalpLiners must cancel or reschedule your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, your deposit will be returned in full or transferred to a new appointment at your preference.

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible by phone on 07549 402913 or email at mark@scalpliners.co.uk.

3. Treatment Terms

Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a cosmetic treatment and individual results will vary. By booking a treatment you acknowledge and accept the following:

  • Results are individual and cannot be guaranteed to match photographs, examples or descriptions exactly
  • Most clients require 2–3 sessions to achieve the desired result; the number of sessions needed will be assessed during your consultation
  • Top-up or refinement sessions may be required over time as the pigment naturally fades
  • Colour, density and longevity of results depend on individual skin type, lifestyle and aftercare compliance
  • SMP may not be suitable for clients with certain skin conditions, medical conditions or contraindications (see Medical Conditions below)

ScalpLiners will discuss realistic expectations with you during your free consultation and advise you honestly on suitability for treatment.

4. Payment

The full balance of your treatment fee, less the deposit already paid, is due on the day of treatment prior to or at the time of your appointment.

  • Payment is accepted by bank transfer or card
  • Prices quoted are as agreed at the time of booking and will not change without prior notice
  • Staged payment plans for multi-session treatments can be discussed during your consultation

All prices include VAT where applicable. Current pricing is available on our Pricing page.

5. Aftercare & Liability

Comprehensive aftercare instructions will be provided to you following each session. It is your responsibility to follow these instructions carefully to protect and preserve your results.

ScalpLiners will not be held liable for any deterioration in results where aftercare instructions have not been followed.

Aftercare instructions include but are not limited to:

  • Avoiding direct sunlight, swimming and excessive sweating for a specified period after treatment
  • Keeping the treated area clean and dry as directed
  • Avoiding picking, scratching or applying products to the treated area without guidance
  • Attending follow-up sessions as recommended

ScalpLiners' liability is limited to the cost of the treatment provided. We will not be responsible for any indirect losses arising from the treatment.

6. Medical Conditions

Your health and safety are our priority. You must disclose any relevant medical conditions or medications before undergoing treatment.

  • You must inform us of all current medications, including blood thinners, immunosuppressants, topical skin treatments and any others that may affect healing
  • You must disclose any known skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, keloid scarring tendency) in the treatment area
  • You must advise us of any allergies, including allergies to pigments or topical anaesthetics
  • You must inform us of any recent or ongoing medical treatments, chemotherapy or radiotherapy
  • Clients with certain conditions may be asked to provide a letter of clearance from their GP prior to treatment

ScalpLiners reserves the right to decline treatment where we believe it may not be safe or suitable. This decision will always be made in your best interests.

By proceeding with treatment you confirm that the information you have provided regarding your health is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

7. Age Restriction

ScalpLiners SMP Clinic provides treatments to adults only.

You must be 18 years of age or older to receive treatment.

We reserve the right to request proof of age. Appointments booked on behalf of a person under 18 will be cancelled and any deposit forfeited.

8. Photography & Consent

We may take photographs of your treatment results for our portfolio and marketing materials. We will always ask for your explicit consent before taking or using any photographs.

Photographs will not be published, shared or used without your written consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at mark@scalpliners.co.uk.
